This sweet little baby cardigan is inspired by the traditional embroidery of Transylvania, where Elizabeth's maternal ancestors are from. The knitted linen stitch reflects the woven textiles of this region and provides a background for the cross-stitch motifs.

The cardigan is knit fit at with the cross-stitch embroidery added afterwards. Each kit includes charts for the cross-stitch motifs, and detailed diagrams of how to embroider cross-stitch on knitting.

This kit includes Canadian hand-dyed yarn from Sweet Paprika Designs with coordinating wooden buttons.⁠ Please note that there are two sizes available. The larger size kit includes two skeins of the main colour, though only one is shown in the photo.
