Felted Christmas Pickle Ornaments

Christmas pickles are a wonderful tradition with a funny history.  An over shipment of glass vegetable ornaments from Germany in the 1880’s lead to Woolworths inventing a story about a German tradition of hanging a pickle on the Christmas tree. The legend goes that the first person to find the hidden pickle on Christmas morning got a special gift or to open the first present. 

While the history may have been made up, it has now become a tradition in its own right. Perfect for starting your own pickle tradition or for anyone who loves pickles!
