So, What's the Deal With Tariffs?

In general, when buying from outside of Canada, orders may have additional fees 
charged depending on the import taxes, customs, duties and/or tariffs of the 
destination country.  In particular, the rules for the application of these charges on shipments into the USA are changing.  As of August 29, 2025 the De Minimis (Duty Free) entry into the US will be suspended and tariffs are planned to be imposed on goods imported from Canada to the United States. They are implemented upon entry into the receiving country and are entirely out of my control.

I love all my US customers and hope you will continue to order and 
enjoy my products.  Some of my products, such as hand-dyed yarn, may be exempt from tariffs due to meeting CUSMA (Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement) rules of origin, in which case I will endeavor to include all the necessary documentation in the shipment to support that.  Unfortunately other products, such as stitch stoppers, will not be exempt due to their country of origin.  In both cases, the final decisions on the application of tariffs will be made by the U.S. border officials and may be charged even on products we expect to receive tariff-free entry.  

If charged, payment of those taxes, customs, duties and/or tariffs is the responsibility of the customer.  By placing an order, all customers outside Canada accept the risk that any fees, taxes, duties, and/or tariffs may be charged at the border and agree to be responsible for the payment of such.  If you have any questions regarding this, please reach out.

Yay!  We know that everyone loves a deal!  Go ahead and input that code in online checkout or show one of us at one of our many in person events, but please remember that discounts are available on regular priced items only and cannot be combined. 

Will The Dye Lots In My Yarn Match?

Although we attempt to ship all orders with matching dye lots, matching dye lots are not guaranteed and mismatched dye lots will not be eligible for return. 

Hand dyed yarn is dyed in small batches and can vary from skein to skein, even within a dye lot.  We strongly encourage alternating skeins throughout your project when working with hand dyed yarns to prevent striping or pooling. 

If you are placing an order where you require all dye lots to match, please include a note in your order or email us separately and we will do our best to accommodate.

Are the Colours Accurate on Your Website?

I have done my best to ensure that the colours shown in the product photos on my website accurately represent our wares, however there are a number of factors that can lead to the colours being seen differently.  Every monitor will display colour differently, plus the lighting and surrounding colours can impact how the yarn looks.  There may also be some variance in the colour due to dye lot of manufacturing changes.
